Jess is trained & certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), which is an evidenced based trauma therapy. Additional areas of Jess’s experience and expertise include anxiety, adult ADD/ADHD and issues related to adjustment.

Jess’s approach to counseling is informed by her theoretical framework, which includes psychodynamic, emotion focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused / trauma informed techniques to help clients recognize, accept & cope with feelings generated by their past and present experiences.

A personal note from Jess on her therapeutic approach:

“I acknowledge and understand that there are inherent feelings of discomfort that come with vulnerability. Which is why I value the process of building rapport, establishing trust and forming a secure attachment within the therapeutic alliance.

I encourage my clients to challenge themselves within the safety of our therapeutic alliance to practice & gain comfort with direct communication, boundary setting, and self advocacy. I invite you to consider "therapeutic fit" in your search for a therapist. If you feel like I could be a good fit for you, your teen and/or child I look forward to connecting!”

Katie Murphy, LAPC

Katie has experience working with young adults, adults, and couples. Relationships- whether with a partner, family, or yourself- can be complicated. If you’re feeling disconnected, stuck in conflict, or unsure about the future, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Katie works with both couples and individuals who are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply hoping to build deeper connection and understanding.

Katie’s approach is person-centered, which means she’ll always meet you with warmth, compassion, and respect for your unique experience. At the same time, Katie integrates evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques to help you make meaningful, lasting changes.  Her goal is to create a balance between understanding emotions and developing practical tools to improve your relationships, self esteem, and overall well-being.

For couples, Katie offers a supportive space to work through conflict, improve communication, or reconnect with one another. Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply feeling distant, Katie helps couples navigate these moments together. She welcomes all relationships, including those within the LGBTQ+, non-traditional partnerships, and anyone seeking a stronger, healthier bond.

For individuals, Katie provides support around relationship stress, self-discovery, and navigating life changes. Whether you’re healing from a breakup, exploring relationship patterns, or figuring out what you want in a partner, Katie works alongside you to help you find clarity, confidence, and connection.

No matter where you’re at, you deserve support that feels affirming and personalized. Katie is here to listen, reflect, and help you build the relationships- with others and yourself- that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
