Jessica Ventura, LPC
Jess specializes in working with adults and young adults navigating the lasting effects of complex trauma, attachment wounds, and emotional neglect. Her areas of focus include childhood abuse, relational trauma, and patterns of self-sacrifice that interfere with self-care and emotional connection. She has experience supporting clients who present with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing tendencies, chronic guilt, low self-esteem, and difficulty setting boundaries or trusting others.
Jess’s approach to therapy is person-centered and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Attachment-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She creates a supportive therapeutic environment to help clients explore the root of their struggles, increase self-compassion, and build emotional regulation skills. Her goal is to help individuals break long-standing patterns and develop more fulfilling, secure relationships.
A personal note from Jess on her therapeutic approach:
“I acknowledge and understand that there are inherent feelings of discomfort that come with vulnerability. Which is why I value the process of building rapport, establishing trust and forming a secure attachment within the therapeutic alliance.
I encourage my clients to challenge themselves within the safety of our therapeutic alliance to practice & gain comfort with direct communication, boundary setting, and self advocacy. I invite you to consider "therapeutic fit" in your search for a therapist. If you feel like I could be a good fit for you, your teen and/or child I look forward to connecting!”
